Our alarms went off at 5.30am so we could leave the hotel by 6am. Our flight doesn't leave until 9.30am but we don't want to miss it so we leave ourselves plenty of time. The cab driver on the way to the airport was hilarious... Couldn't understand anything he was saying but he must've thought he was funny because there was an awful lot of laughing going on!!! We arrived at the airport by 6.45 and check in by 7am. That left me plenty of time to pack up the shoes and dress that i bought to send home to mum.
We Board our first leg of our flight to Dubai at 8.30am and it will take approximately 7.5 hours to get there. The first thing we do when we get on the plane is check out the movie list. With hundreds to choose from we pick Bounty Hunter and Ratotuille. We got morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on the flight. And we arrived into Dubai at 1pm there time.
Duty free in Dubai is awesome. $10 for a litre of vodka. We figured if we wanted to go out one night that drinking in the hostel before would be the way to go. Our final leg to London left at 2.30pm there time. This was exciting because we got to go on the new A380 airbus... 800 people fit on this plane. We were on the lower level in row 64 right next to the wing. and just to give you an idea there where still 40 rows behind us! Being next to the wing was shit. This wing spans out over atleast 20 rows so we couldn't see a thing. On this leg we watched Avatar, had a sleep and the Ryan watched three and a half men and i watched the Back up Plan.
We came into Heathrow airport at about 7pm there time. But not before circling in the sky for 10mins. I started to panic, with sept 11 and the heathrow airport scares. There where atleast 8 other planes i could see in the sky circling aswell. We landed ofcourse with no problems at all, but i kid you not. we watched all the planes land after us 1 by 1 before we got off the flight!
it took us 2hrs of lining up to be processed at Heathrow Airport and we finally gopt to our very first hostel at 11pm.
