Saturday the 25th in Barcelona

We woke up early this morning.... 6.30am to be precise as its AFL Grand Final Day in Australia. So we are sitting down on the computers in the hostel, Ryans got the footy going next to me and I am blogging away, catching up on all the days i missed out in Ibiza. 4 euros an hour to use the computers there and where we are staying now, it is free....

A draw!!!! Ryan can believe it and whats worse is we may miss it next Saturday as we will be in Paris and who knows what we will be doing.

We walked around the whole of Barcelona today, atleast 50km!!!! We headed off to the La Merce festival on La Rambala.Checked out the local market street stalls, watched some spanish dancing and seen come great busking acts. Next we headed to a gothis church, atleast an hours walk from the main strip. Once we were there we did an audio guided tour through the church and while it is still under construction after hundreds and hundrerds of years we thouroghly enjoyed the contrast this church had from saint pauls cathedarl in London. This church was slightly darker and eerie in feeling.

We then walked atleast another hour to the Barcelona Marina, where more festivities where happening. We really did pick the best couple of days to come to this city. Before heading back to our room, we decided to buy some packet carbonara from the supermarket and cook it up in the hostel room to save a bit of money. Im over spending money on food, and when you can read the menu, it doesnt really help much either.
