Tuesday the 21st until Friday the 25th in San Antonio Ibiza

The weather was absolutly gorgeous, 27 degrees, a little humid, but nothing we couldnt cope with. Our room overlooked the Marina and we where right across from a supermarket and about 10 restaurants, all which where really cheap. To paint a picture, San Antonio is about 20mins from Ibiza city and is a second home to hundreds of Londoners and their families. A long stretch of beach with hotel after hotel, apartment after apartment. You can hire, bikes or scooters, walk the long stretches of beaches, enjoy a cocktail at a bar overlooking the ocean or sunbath (mainly nude!)

We went out a couple of times at night to the big clubs, these where half way between San Antonio and Ibiza, so a free bus gets you there and back safetly. But, you have to make sure your well hydrated before you go. A bottle of water cost 10 euros. An alcoholic beverage cost anywhere from 20 to 30 euros. We refused to pay this sort of money, We met a londener that gave us a tip, to just ask for a glass with ice... The ice will eventually melt and become water if you wait long enough, but the tap water is not safe enough to drink so stay away from it.

The good thing about San Antonio is that because it is where most of the londeners stay most of the retailers have to be able to speak english, which suits us. We still have learnt how to say, hello and thankyou and my favourite line of all.... Can you speak english. i have not had anyone reply no yet!

We took the bus to the Ibiza city on thursday and that was a massive contrast to whet we had already experienced. Most people here were spanish and therefore this was the language most of them spoke. luckily the few people we had to deal with all replied yes when i said in Spanish, do you speak english.
