Monday the 20th Last day in London

Last day in London. Our plane leaves for Ibiza, Spain at 6.55pm. We have checked out and put our luggage in storage. I think we have seen all of London. We are gonna try for the changing of the guard today at 11.30am. We arrive just before 11.30, really we should have been there alot earlier because the street was packed with thousands of people and it was really quite hard to see what was going on once the parade had entered the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Ryan got a few good photos but we left before the ceremony had finished and headed to Abbey Road, so we could cross the street of the famous beatles song.

A short tube ride away and a 500 metre walk and we where there. It was pretty funny, groups and groups of people, stopping traffic so they could have there photo taken crossing the road. We met up with a couple from California that we talked to from the hostel that morning. We all crossed the road together and had our picture taken on some guys polaroid for 5 pound. Such a rip off, but it turned out good and Ryan loves it.

It was now time to pick up our bags and head to Gatwick Airport for our British Airways flight to Ibiza. We paid 30 pound for an express train ride to the airport. i am glad we got there miles to early because the security in this airport was amazing, it almost felt like we where in America.

We had to put any liquids in a plastic zip lock bag that they provided. We where only allowed one bag per person, anything else had to be thrown away. We then had to take off any jackets or belts we where wearing and present them for screening. Once we walked through the metal detecter there was a female and male officer ready to pat down every person. This process took forever!

We arrived in Ibiza at 11pm and caught a bus to San Antonio, where we will be staying for the next 4 days. Our hostel was only a 2minute walk from here. We checked in, and too our delight we found ourselves in a hotal, not a hostel. for $12 each a night to have our own bed, balcony, bath and clean shower we where stoked!
